FindÜ – Find your buddies

What is it about?

FindÜ was born as a mobile app to meet new people based on interests, backgrounds and languages skills.

Back in 2015 when we ideated this app, there were lots of services to find more details about an existing person. The proposal fo this app was the opposite. The user wouldn’t know the person yet, but could instead see common interests.

My role

Co-Founder. UX designer.

Activities and responsibilities

I was the responsible of the product design. My two partners were responsible for the technical requirements and implementation. They were managing the development team (which we outsourced) and I was in charged of the following areas:

Branding and visual design
  • Design of the name, logo and different visual assets.
  • Corporative communication.
  • Branding guidelines.
Product Management
  • Understanding our market needs.
  • Shaping a solution addressing our customers’ and users’ needs.
  • Defining the vision and mission for our product.
  • Prioritising our product features and developing an MVP.
  • Defining the technology to develop the MVP.

How it works

There are simply the following steps for a new user, when he/she arrives:

  1. Sign up by Facebook or the traditional way by email address & password (FB preferred)
  2. Set profile picture and personal settings
  3. You’re on it; Now search for people with basic parameters (Language, Interest, …?)
  4. Delimit the people list by using filters (Interests to exclude)
  5. Contact another user by the internal messenger
  6. Get in touch!

We didn’t offer a website having the functionalities of the mobile app. The website FindU.app was a corporative website describing the service with links to the app stores.
